Image licence
Every photo on this site names its author. Most come from Wikimedia Commons and stay under the licence their photographer chose; the rest are ours.
Photos from Wikimedia Commons
Most spot photos were made by other people and shared under a Creative Commons licence or released into the public domain. We only use photos that may be reused commercially. The credit under each photo names the photographer and the licence, and links to the file page on Wikimedia Commons, where you can read the full terms and download the original.
Those photos are not ours to relicense. If you want to use one, follow the licence on its file page: a CC BY photo asks you to name the author, and a CC BY-SA photo asks the same and that anything you make from it carries the same licence.
Our own images
Where no free photo exists, we make the image ourselves, some of it with AI. Those images are © DiscoverAround and are not under a Creative Commons licence. Write info@discoveraround.com if you would like to use one and we will tell you the terms.
Something credited wrongly?
If a photo of yours is here with the wrong credit, or you would rather we took it down, write info@discoveraround.com and we will fix it.
